For our dedicated active duty personnel: we understand that supporting the mission of your unit is of utmost importance, and when you are away, your family might need support and guidance back home. This event is your outlet to explore all the resources/programs dedicated to you and your family.

For our spouses and authorized patrons: there are so many exciting opportunities to get involved at Miramar. Stop by the Resource Fair to learn more about how you can stay engaged with the base community. The Resource Fair will be in the Miramar Room in The Hub, Building 5305 from October 20, 2023, from 10:00am-1:00pm.

Here are a few of the programs that will be present:

Marine Corps Family Team Building

Marine Corps Family Team Building offers workshops and training sessions that aim to foster readiness and resiliency to Marines and their families. MCFTB is comprised of 6 different programs:

  • Lifestyles, Insights, Networking, Knowledge, Skills (L.I.N.K.S.)
  • Family Readiness Program Training (FRPT)
  • Life Skills Training Readiness and Deployment Support Training (RDST)
  • Kids and Teen Program Volunteer Coordination

Education Center

The Education Center should be your first stop when planning for your academic goals. Our team is here to help you pick the best school or training program that fits your needs. We offer our unbiased professional advice to help all eligible patrons fulfill their education goals.

Personal Financial Management

This program assists Marines, and their families achieve and sustain personal financial readiness by providing personal financial education, training, counseling, and financial information, and referral. A solid understanding of personal finances will build confidence in facing financial challenges, responsibilities, and mission readiness.

Information Referral and Relocation

This program is dedicated to connecting Service Members, Families and Retirees with the right information. Information & Referral provides information on programs available to assist servicemembers and families. Information & Referral is an efficient way to find information or services that are right for you. 

Family Member Employment Assistance

The Family Member Employment Assistance Program (FMEAP) provides resources and services to support military spouses’ and dependent family members’ employment-related needs. They help in topics such as resume building to interview tips, education scholarships and opportunities.

New Parent Support

 The New Parent Support Program (NPSP) is a professional team of supportive and caring counselors, registered nurses, and social workers who provide parenting education, resources and support to Marine families who are expecting or raising children aged 0-5 years old. The NPSP is designed to provide reliable information and resources for moms and dads to promote positive parent-child connections. 

Fitness

Semper Fit provides fitness and health education programs that focus on warfighter performance. Semper Fit includes fitness facilities and the services they offer such as strength and conditioning programs, personal training, intramural sports, and sports massages to support operational readiness. Semper Fit services are also available to family members, retirees, and other authorized users.

EFMP

The primary purpose of the Marine Corps EFMP is to ensure family member’s medical and educational needs are considered during the assignment process. By identifying families with special medical and/or educational needs and maximizing confidentiality and the provision of services, EFMP can enhance the quality of life provided to the Marine Corps family to meet the mission of the Marine Corps.

 

MCCS Miramar programs will be present with their representatives, waiting to guide you through the myriad of services tailored just for you. Each guest attending this event will be provided with support and a chance to win a $500 Visa gift card. So, mark your calendars, and explore all your resources at MCAS Miramar.
